I think this place is now under new management, as the staff was professional and friendly, they're re-painting the exterior, and the interior was pretty clean (even the bathrooms). Had a Flamethrower burger for lunch -- it was decent. Also, I'm pretty sure they still do ice cream right. Aside from the awkwardness of having to cut through the drive-thru line to get to the front door... no complaints.

Happy 75th Anniversary DQ!! We're from the Phoenix area but made a day trip to Prescott during the kids spring break. Saw all the advertising for free cones "all day" and thought it would make a great stop on our way back to Phoenix. While I understand the advertising on your website and social media states "participating restaurants" it does not state "varying times", in fact is clearly states "all day". This particular location was a participating restaurant but for whatever reason decided to stop the promotion at 4:00pm. Not going to lie, it was a big disappointment to the family. Not to mention, false advertising. Additionally, the way the irritated male voice responded when we asked for the free cones via the drive thru... As though we should have clearly known this specific location was going to stop the promotion six hours earlier. For rude customer service and the false advertising, one star.

I'm not a glutton for punishment, but if I want an ice cream treat, I will go to DQ. If I want food, well...... The place is need of continuous cleaning. And I'm almost always doing battle with flies. I'm aware of there sometimes being a skeleton crew on duty, but can you at least clean the tables? I don't think I will be there anymore.

I would much prefer rating this place with NO stars...but I don't have that option. I was totally shocked at how dirty this place was behind the counter. The girl that took our order had dried chocolate syrup down her forearm. She handled money, then went right over to make food without washing her hands. The other worker that was making blizzards made both of ours wrong and had to remake them. My son's malt was forgotten and when we reminded him he was bothered then rushed it so much that the fruit and malt were not mixed in. For three ice cream treats we waited a good 15 minutes. The mix in bins were all nearly empty. When it was time to remake my heath bar blizzard he said he needed to refil the him first...then decided not to. Guess what.....there was a miniscule amount in my cup. I really think this place needs to be inspected and some training needs to happen with the employees.

They are lucky people can't do no stars. I am surprised corporate had not shut them down. Horrible service and always out of a lot of things. Thank god there is a new ice cream place in town.

All I can say is I should've read the reviews before stopping here and probably would have went someplace else. The food was cold, pop did not taste like coca-cola at all it tasted flat. The building itself looks a little run down and the parking lot look like it really needed some work.

We tried this place several times to make sure it wasn't a fluke... Service is always terrible, blizzards are half mixed at best. If you're the only person in line, expect to wait 10min. If there's 2-3 people in front of you expect up to 40min... Yes we actually waited 40min in the drive through for 2 small blizzards. Also, if you have a smallish car, the curb coming out of the drive thru is almost a cliff, we made that mistake once. You have to make a u turn in the lot and go back out the entrance.

Not bad for a DQ. We parked and ordered inside. I was with a group of 6 and we all ordered blizzards. I only saw 2 people working so it is tough to make 6 blizzards and also take drive through at same time. So yes, I did have to wait a good 10 min from line to my blizzard but that was expected. They should probably staff one more worker to ease the line and wait which everyone complains about.

Today was our first visit to this Dairy Queen and we absolutely will not be back. We were the second car in line at the drive through and we waited about 10 minutes before anyone even took the order from the car in front of us. We finally got up to the menu and waited another several minutes before anyone took our order. The menu advertised Pumpkin Pie as the Blizzard of the Month. I attempted to order one for my daughter only to be told, "we aren't doing that one anymore." Um, then why is it on your menu? I assume it was November's Blizzard of the Month, but we're over halfway through December so why hasn't the sign been taken down? Anyway.... We ordered and got up to the window where a very unenthusiastic employee took my card and came back (surprisingly quickly!) with our ice cream. She handed it to me and started to close the window, luckily I was able to catch her and ask for my card back first. The entire experience was just frustrating and not worth it. We'll stick to Sonic. They're much friendlier and have ten times better service.

I think the 1.5 stars is very generous. This dq could use a lot of upgrades. It's old, tables falling apart, drive through speaker broken most of the time, lacks staff at peak times. The ice cream is ok, but you will wait to be served.

This place is obviously SO poorly managed... dirty and dingy, there is clearly a miserly hoarding of any profits this place makes, with zero re-invested into the business. They are busy 'round the clock, so you know the owner(s) makes good dough from this dive. The decor is a joke, they have bathroom vanity fixtures on the wall for crying out loud! There are only two entrances to the place, and they seem to always keep one set closed (the set that would be most convenient to enter from the parking area), the other door being directly in front of the drive thru. There has to be a reason for this... either they are too cheap to fix it, or there is some kind of cleaning/laziness issue. On top of the general uncleanliness, they have ridiculous hours (or beyond-lazy employees who shut everything down early so they don't have to work). 9 PM ON A FRIDAY NIGHT? Are you crazy? I realize this is just little Prescott Valley, but COME ON... 9 PM ON A FRIDAY? Beyond ridiculous.

Yikes! The place was a mess today. We went about 2 p.m. Every empty table was dirty. Looks like they never wipe them off. We couldn't get waited on quickly, and the flies in the kitchen were a turnoff. One of the female employees was covered in tattoos. We left without eating. If you want DQ, go to the one in the Gateway Mall.

Drove ten min specifically to DQ for the Blizzard deal for .99 promotion I saw on the commercial. I went inside to order and asked for the deal and the "shift leader" said "sorry we aint doing that deal anymore" (Even though the DQ website says good thru Sept 23rd at participating locations which I understand.) I said do you mind accommodating this time since we drove specifically because of the promotion I saw. "nope, sorry, deal is over" I asked her if i could speak with a manager, she said " I am the manager". At that point I knew it was going nowhere. VERY DISAPPOINTED! The customers behind me were also in, because of the commercial, which they too got turned down! Crystal the "shift leader" was very rude and couldn't care less about the customer.

Not to discredit Heathers nostalgic memories but this place sucks. It was dirty, the food was bland, they were out of 2 of the 4 things we wanted, the crew was unhelpful, ugly and hateful. They really were rude people. The best part was the attractive young girl about 17 years old telling her friends how many people she hooked up with and naming them all. She actually said " I have hooked up with more people then I have dated " Great for my kids to hear.

I agree with the other reviewer. This is a horrible place. Rude, inconsistent products, and bad service. Save yourself the hassle and drive a tiny bit further to Sonic, Baskin Robins, or McDonalds.
